Seeds for Success

(JOHNSTON, IOWA, March 17, 2021) – AgVenture Product Portfolio Manager Darren Bakken, on behalf of the entire product team, is pleased to announce 28 new hybrids available for 2022 planting.

AgVenture new corn hybrids announced for 2022 planting

Newly-launched corn products will be seen in plots during the 2021 growing season.

Ranging in maturity from 79 to 116 day, these new hybrids are comprised of 22 brand-new genetic platforms and will be featured in plots during the 2021 season. AgVenture’s network of Independent Seed Companies (ISCs), the largest such network in the nation, will plant these new hybrids in their plots this spring for additional local research and customer viewing. Limited launch quantities of these hybrids are available through AgVenture ISCs for spring planting.

“We are excited to share these new products with our ISCs, so they may utilize their knowledge of local growing environments to place products on the right acre for their customers this spring and in future years,” said Bakken.

AgVenture is pleased to introduce seven new Qrome® products, adding to its current portfolio of the most optimized corn rootworm trait on the market.

Bakken noted that the brand-new genetic platforms featured in these new launches out-yielded competitors by an average of 10.8 bushels per acres across 21,319 comparisons*.

Other products in the new class include AgVenture brand corn with:

  • Optimum® AcreMax® insect protection for above-ground pests
  • Optimum® AcreMax® Leptra® insect protection for enhanced efficacy against ear-feeding pests and improved grain quality

The new lineup also includes two new Optimum® AQUAmax® products bred to maximize profit potential and manage risk on drought-prone and highly productive acres.

“We are pleased to add these new hybrids to our already strong lineup of corn products,” said Bakken. “Our team works hard to ensure that our product lineups are built to maximize growers’ profit potential across a wide range of soil types and yield environments as they apply strategies from our Maximum Profit System™ throughout the growing season.”

* 3-year data from 2018-2020, all hybrids compared to competitors +/- 2 days of relative maturity
