Seeds for Success

AgVenture Yield Specialists have a tremendous amount of knowledge to help you achieve increased production. A Short Series on Soybean Planting Best Practices
By Jeff Shaner, AgVenture Soybean Product Manager

A final thought on spring soybean planting from my Unofficial Owner’s Manual: Listen to the Yield Specialist you work with from your local AgVenture Regional Seed Company and the recommendations they have for you.

Whether you work with a person named Chad or Dan or Chelsea or Greg, they all have a tremendous network of people backing them up. Every product they present to you, every treatment they place on your seed and every management tip they bring to the table have all been thoroughly examined in our system.

Your AgVenture rep has access to multiple Product Managers at AgVenture, Inc. who travel the country each year making product evaluations across states, soil types and climate variations. Together we all have access to breeders, research locations and agronomists. The AgVenture Maximum Profit System™ works because of many sharp minds feeding off of each other. I have proof of this and will present an amazing story (one of many we hear about each year) in an article you will be reading at the end of the week.

Recently in this mini-series, we have examined in brief and simple terms how to plant, when to plant, and adjustments to make when planting early in the year. There is one more point that needs to be emphasized most of all.

Plant your seed into fit soil conditions.

I realize that is your goal each and every year. What we have found to be true is that poor soil conditions at planting time haunt you all through the growing season in multiple ways. Maximum profit isn’t just a marketing slogan. When you achieve it as an AgVenture customer, we’re all better off!

Enjoy a great planting experience this spring everyone.

“I use AgVenture because of their excellent products, service, and agronomic support. When we need something they respond quickly. I can’t think of any reason why we wouldn’t use AgVenture. AgVenture stressed the importance of new technology on our farm and is helping us maximize our yield maps, soil grid maps, and fertilizer application data. I do business with AgVenture because they are very trustworthy and service oriented.”
