(JOHNSTON, IOWA, April 1, 2021) – AgVenture, Inc. is pleased to welcome Lexie Maloy to the marketing team for an internship focused on product, agronomy, and marketing.
Maloy joins AgVenture marketing team for internship.
“We are thrilled to have Lexie join us as our Product Marketing Intern for the summer,” said AgVenture Marketing & Portfolio Director Scott Hart. “Her agricultural background paired with her previous internship experience and coursework at Iowa State University will bring a valuable perspective to the team.”
Maloy is an active member of her family’s farm near New Hampton, Iowa, where they raise corn and soybeans. In previous internships with different coops in Iowa, she gained expertise in agronomy, sales, and crop scouting. Currently, Maloy is completing her junior year at Iowa State University, where she is pursuing a major in Agronomy. She is also actively involved in Agronomy Club and Women in Agronomy Club.
“I love working with people in the agriculture industry and being out in the field,” Maloy said. “I am most excited to work with the AgVenture team to gain a diversified experience in product, agronomy, and marketing; also, I hope that my previous experiences will be a valuable asset to the team.”
“Lexie’s involvement in organizations through Iowa State, paired with her previous internship experience, will help her hit the ground running,” Hart said. “Lexie will monitor our Johnston product showcase and training site and gain experience in the field alongside AgVenture staff. We hope to increase her knowledge of the seed industry through interactions with our network of Independent Seed Companies, while focusing on increasing her understanding of our proprietary Maximum Profit System™, our unique go-to-market strategy.”
In her free time, Maloy enjoys riding her horses and participating in various outdoor activities.
