Seeds for Success

JOHNSTON, IOWA (April 21, 2022) –AgVenture, Inc. is pleased to welcome Brayden Evans to the marketing team for an internship focused on product, agronomy, and marketing.

“We are excited to have Brayden join our team this spring and summer,” said Bethany Kroeze, AgVenture Marketing Manager. ”We are impressed with his experience in the ag industry and hope this internship will be another way for him to discover the opportunities available with AgVenture and the entire Corteva Agriscience organization.”

Evans hails from Ellsworth, Iowa, where he helps his dad at Evans Auto Body and on the family farm. The Evans family raises corn and soybeans on their farm, as well as a small herd of dairy cattle.

Evans graduated from South Hamilton High School in Jewell, Iowa, where he was involved in the South Hamilton FFA and served as Vice President of the Lyon Kings 4-H club.

“I was interested in AgVenture because I wanted an internship that would allow me to explore different areas of what their seed company has to offer, like marketing, sales, and crop scouting,” said Evans. “I am looking forward to being able to learn more about the sales and marketing side of AgVenture.”

Evans, who is currently a senior at Iowa State University majoring in Agronomy, has previously worked for Key Cooperative in Story City, Iowa, as a crop scout, and spent the summer of 2021 interning for Syngenta in Slater, Iowa, as a seed production intern. After graduation from Iowa State, he hopes to become an agronomist for a seed company so he can help farmers maximize their yields.

“We believe that this internship will provide Brayden with a deeper dive into sales, product management, agronomy, marketing and communications, and business development,” said Kroeze. “His experience, education, and passion for the industry are key elements to help him develop as a future agronomist or any path he may choose. We hope to increase his knowledge of the seed industry through interactions with our network of Independent Seed Companies, the AgVenture staff, and other Corteva interns.”

When he has free time, Evans enjoys hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoys traveling to new places. One of his proudest accomplishments was restoring his grandpa’s 1967 International 706 diesel tractor, which he showed at both the Hamilton County Fair and the Iowa State Fair.

“We know that Brayden will fit in well with our team, especially since he shared that his favorite food is mint ice cream,” said Kroeze. “We all enjoy a scoop of ice cream after a hot day in the field!”
